Violence Free Colorado is excited to announce its new monthly BROWN BAG Teleconference Series!

Each month of 2015, you are invited to join Violence Free Colorado staff and experts from advocacy organizations around the state for a Brown Bag conversation!

Who: You & your co-workers!
(Advocates, shelter staff, program and executive directors, volunteers…the list goes on!)

What: Join a conversation about various advocacy issues.
(We’ll pick the topic—with your input—and but the microphone is YOURS)

Why: To talk through advocacy challenges and learn from your fellow advocates across the state!
(Each month, an ‘expert’ from a member program around the state will help facilitate the discussion and answer your questions on pressing advocacy issues)

When:  From 12pm-1pm on the second Tuesday of each month
(On January 13th, we’ll be discussing setting policies regarding marijuana in shelters)

Where:  From the comfort of your own office!

We’re kicking off the series on Tuesday, January 13th at noon with the discussion: ‘Don’t Fear the Reefer! Addressing Marijuana in Shelter Settings’ (check out our technical assistance publication on medical marijuana shelter policies here)

We hope you’ll join us!
