Victims and perpetrators of violence are at increased risk for suicide and suicidal ideation among many other public health concerns, one of the most tragic outcomes being murder-suicide. However, in most programs (e.g. law enforcement training, social work and counseling education, and advocate training) suicide is almost never addressed in ways that provide people working with victims and offenders the tools or skills to access help and connect others to care. This training will prepare participants to recognize risk and provide life-saving interventions for both victims and perpetrators.
