Membership Categories

CCADV has four different categories of membership. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS

  1. Programs whose primary focus is safety and services for battered women and their children, AND
  2. Provide access to temporary safe housing, counseling, referral, and advocacy, AND
  3. Offer direct services to victims though a battered women’s program and/or certified perpetrator treatment programs, OR
  4. Endeavors to end domestic violence through education, public policy and social change, AND
  5. Adhere and affirm in writing to the CCADV philosophy and mission statement, cooperative agreement and standards.

ALLIED PROGRAMS

  1. Programs interested in the prevention of domestic violence yet whose primary focus is not services to battered women and their children; e.g. general violence prevention services, child abuse, elder abuse, criminal justice, sexual assault programs, offender focused treatment programs, corporations, health care providers; AND
  2. Adhere to and affirm in writing to the CCADV philosophy and mission statement.

ALLIED INDIVIDUALS

  1. Individuals who want to be active in the movement to end violence against women and children. This may include battered and/or formerly battered women and those who are currently working with a member program and are interested in lending their individual support to the coalition, in addition to that of the agency; AND
  2. Adhere to and affirm in writing to the CCADV philosophy and mission statement.

CONTRIBUTING INDIVIDUALS

Individuals who want to support the work of the Coalition and participate in Coalition activities but do not want to participate in the governance and leadership of the Coalition. Contributing Individuals do not go through the formal membership application process.
