Membership Process
CCADV is a membership organization, and all prospective members are voted in. Your application will be reviewed and voted on first by the geographic region you or your organization resides in. Then your application will be voted on by the full membership at the next Statewide Meeting. 2008 Statewides are scheduled for February, June and September. It is recommended that your completed application be returned to CCADV at least four to six weeks prior to the upcoming Statewide.
The membership application process is as follows:
• CCADV is comprised of four geographic regions, each
represented by a Regional Committee. The completed membership application
is initially
forwarded to the appropriate Regional Committee for review.
• The
Regional Committee will review the application and possibly meet with
prospective member. Applicants may be invited by the Region to attend
a Regional or Statewide meeting. Additional information may be requested
or an optional on-site visit may be scheduled to assist the Region
in formulating their recommendation.
• The Regional Committee will make its recommendation to CCADV
membership for final approval of prospective members and applicant will
be notified of the final decision.
• CCADV
reserves the right to be exclusive in its acceptance of members. A decision
of non-acceptance may be appealed.
• Applicants who are accepted
will have retroactive membership effective the date all completed membership
materials were submitted. Membership dues are paid at the time of acceptance. Please
do NOT send dues with your application.
